Summary

Josef Hader takes us on a journey to Medieval Spain.

Over four decades, migration has led to a growing number of Muslim citizens in Western and Central Europe. In the past twenty years, the local population with Christian heritage have begun to fear being inundated by foreigners and the possibility of Islamification.

Josef Hader’s fascinating journey is infotainment at its finest: exciting, humorous entertainment combined with plenty of interesting historical facts. The important contributions made by Muslim-dominated societies to the development of today’s Europe, or “the Western World”, are shown well in this documentary. Hader also explores the issue of what we can learn for our lives today from multicultural societies such as the Andalusian Convivencia.
